ABOUT LIFE CENTER
Life Center Milwaukee exists to serve people, develop leaders, and impact generations. Our mission is to connect people to a community of support by providing free resources and services that address immediate and long-term needs in the areas of hunger, poverty, addiction, abuse, and education. The efforts of Life Center are focused not only on addressing the symptoms of poverty, but also on meeting the needs of individuals with the goal of restoring their hopes and dreams, and bringing wholeness to their lives.
Tyler Herring is the Director of Life Center Milwaukee. Tyler and his wife Lydia moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Milwaukee at the beginning of 2020.
In 2011 Tyler received his bachelor’s degree in Global Missions and Evangelism from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. From a young age Tyler’s heart to serve has only grown, attending and leading multiple trips both domestic and across the globe in an effort to serve the needs of people. One of the first trips in particular, to the inner-city of St. Louis laid a foundation in his young heart for the work he is doing today. Tyler recalls how his eyes and heart were open to the needs of those living in an inner-city environment. This calling has led him to the community of Milwaukee with the hope of helping bring relief and restoration to the families in the area.
Tyler has moved his family across the country, far from all they have known, in hopes of establishing a cause greater than his own. To see the lives of the young and the old in Milwaukee empowered, cared for and loved. Tyler’s heart is to see this community strengthened and built up, for youth to be given an opportunity to reach for brighter futures and for love and peace to abound in our streets and in their hearts.
